Against the backdrop of the Federal Government's foreign policy objectives which observably projects economic stimulus for the country, State Governments have been charged to take advantage of the policy to rejig their economy.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC,Hon. Emmanuel Enang said in Calabar that States have to diversify their economies from the dependence on the petroleum sector.
Enang who is also the National Coordinator of Neighbourhood Coalition,a sprowling socio-political support group of the APC, maintained that states should explore areas of comparative advantage while linking up with friends of the nation to grow their economy.
"As Tinubu's body language has clearly shown that our foreign policy objectives as a Nation is to project the growth of the Nation's Economy, I think that what out state governments should do is to align this policy by linking up with those countries in areas they have comparative advantage to attract the needed investment for growth.".
According to him, "Nigeria is a Nation blessed with enormous potentials both in terms of human and mineral resources and the bulk of our states' economic growth agenda should tilt towards projecting these resources in the front burner to the advantage of the state."
Enang praised President Bola Tinubu for leading the pack to the Nation's economic revival through International collaborations with the outside world.
