•Three cops, four others killed in attack

 Three police officers and four other people were slain when gunmen ambushed the vehicle of Apostle Johnson Suleman, the president of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, on Friday along the Benin-Auchi Road in Edo State.

According to reports, the cleric had just returned from a foreign trip and was traveling through the state when gunmen opened fire on his convoy.

The preacher had recently returned from a program in Tanzania, according to Samuel Amune, Suleman's attorney, who verified the incident to Saturday "Viralgistblog". Amune also added that the cleric narrowly avoided death.

He replied, "Some assassins attacked him while he was coming home from a journey. Among other people, three of his police officers died. He was on his way back to Auchi when the gunmen ambushed him along Sabongida up to the Warake axis, where Auchi and Warake share a border. The attack took place while he was approaching the borders of Auchi after passing Warake.

Suleman responded to the event in a video that was broadcast on his Twitter account on Friday. He said that he narrowly survived an attempt on his life and that the attack claimed the lives of seven people.
