Akoma Izuchukwu known by the stage name ofustrings is a Contemporary gospel singer, song writer, acoustic guitarist and a worship leader.

My musical journey started officially in 2019. I have released two songs available on all streaming platforms.

I like to think that I have a very unconventional style of music, Sounds of hope and a deep longing of intimacy with ABBA (God).

My musical motivations is targeted to be therapeutic to give hope and stir up faith.

Whats your genre of music and what’s your attachment to it?

Contemporary Christian Music, Pop.

My attachment to it is the fact that I can move all of my emotions to the direction of God. All of the Joy, disappointments, failures,weakness, wins, when I’m happy or when I’m angry; I  can express all of that emotions to God through music.

What’s your plan for alternative music in Nigeria?

Well, I love every aspect of my music journey and I’m open to go with the flow as long as it inspires my fans and stirs hope. So I’d say it’s transitional.

Why gospel?

I envision a world where people are empowered to live out their faith in tangible ways, where the hungry are fed, the sick are healed and the brokenhearted are comforted. 

I believe that through Christ, we can make a lasting impact on the world around us, and bring hope to those who are in need.

Ultimately, my vision is to see the Kingdom of God advanced in every corner of the world, and to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get my inspiration by simply living life (laughs) 😁 … All the experiences, The Bible, teachings.

Which Nigerian artist strikes your heart cord most?

Neon Adejo and Ty Bello are my top 2 Nigerian artist

What can make you leave gospel?

Gospel is too big and deep to leave,

It’s like asking when I will stop breathing or singing, Gospel is my life.

However, my voice gives the most when I sing gospel, I’ve written a couple of songs that are not gospel but they’re healthy music. so yes, I can do other songs that are geared towards inspiring people. They are gospel of the heart.

What’s your connect with your guitar?

My guitar is like my vein. When I trike it, it’s spurs my best feelings. The more I play, the best of me I get. My guitar is my vein string
