Talent Manager commends President Tinubu over appointment of Entertainment Adviser

...says it renews hope for talents in the multi-million dollar industry!

The president of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received several commendations for bold steps taken since he was sworn into office last month.

One of such is from Lagos born entertainment journalist, talent manager and impresario, Nelson NseAbasi, who has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointment of a special adviser on Culture & Entertainment Economy, in person of Hannatu Musa Musawa.

The entertainment entrepreneur made the remark in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State while addressing press men on what the future holds for talents in the Nigerian entertainment industry and his start-up Talent Bank Nigeria.

While speaking, Nelson said the last that was heard of entertainment at the presidential level was during the time of former president Goodluck Jonathan, according to him, in that era, there were series of interactions by Mr President with critical stakeholders in the entertainment industry, as the then President had promised to inject funds to boost the revenue of the creative economy, as a key income earner for the country, but all of that became past tense when he lost the election in 2015, he stated.

Although I have not met her before, I received with joy the appointment of the special adviser to the president, culture and entertainment economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa. I am also confident that she will deliver on the task of coordinating the vibrant sector.

Hannatu Musa Musawa is a renowned advocate for culture and the entertainment industry in Nigeria. She has actively promoted the growth and development of these sectors through her work as a filmmaker, cultural entrepreneur, and policy advocate.

Musawa’s appointment as the Special Adviser for Culture and Entertainment Economy can be referred to as placing a square peg in a square hole, as she will bring to bare her deep understanding and passion for harnessing the potential of these industries for national development, the talent banker submitted.

Nelson who is known for his creative consultancy services for the entertainment desks of several administrations in Cross River and his home-state Akwa Ibom, has served on the board of top notch government and private sector sponsored events across Nigeria for years well over the last decade.

His start-up, Talent Bank Nigeria seeks to get on-board a reliable database project for the Nigerian entertainment industry.
