"We only wanted to save our Daughters Life" Ekweremadu bags over nine years jail term in UK for Organ Harvesting - Ike Ekweremadu

Ike Ekweremadu, a former deputy senate president, was convicted by a UK court on Friday to nine years and eight months in prison for planning to obtain a man's kidney for his ill daughter.

Beatrice, Ekweremadu's wife, received a sentence of four years and six months, while Obinna Obeta, a doctor, received a sentence of ten years for the same offense.

Do you remember when Ekweremadu, Beatrice, and Obeta were found guilty of conspiring to organize the passage of a young Nigerian man named David Nwamini to Britain in order to take advantage of him for his kidney? If so, you should recall that they were convicted of the crime.

Sonia, Ekweremadu's ill daughter, need the organ.
Their trial lasted six weeks, and the Old Bailey, London's Central Criminal Court, is anticipated to find them guilty today.
Hugh Davies, the prosecutor, told the jury that Ekweremadu's actions displayed "entitlement, dishonesty, and hypocrisy".
