Utang Akwa Ibom unveils 3rd edition of Ibom Entertainment Week

The Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Entertainment Industry, Mr David Sergeant a.k.a Utang Akwa Ibom on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 played host to selected media personnel in the state for a media briefing to unveil Ibom Entertainment Week season 3.

The briefing was done in company of the chairman of the central planning committee and special assistant to governor on Project Monitoring, Mr Godfada Uko, together with members of the committee.

On the occasion, Utang Akwa Ibom unveiled the activities that make the 2023 edition of the annual event thick; the Gratitude Road Walk on Friday, May 19 by 7am from Ibom Hall to Barracks road globe, the Award Ceremony which follows on Saturday, May 20 by 7pm at Emerald Event Center and the Thank You Concert on Sunday by 4pm at Nwaniba Water Fountain, featuring carefully selected entertainers.

He announced that veteran actor, Segun Arinze will grace the occasion, alongside Terry G as Guest Act for the Thank You Concert. Other performing acts for the week are Mista Xto, Sir Wilker, Ikpa Udo, Upper X, Feelingz, Disasta, Pope Don X, DJ Santo, Eplus, Eb Ekeng, Bhad Pastor, Bob Biggie, Akpan Mma and Yung Chains. On ground to crack ribs would be MC George, Comedian A1 and General Odey.

Mr Sergeant seized the opportunity to thank his boss, Mr Udom Emmanuel for the appointment of entertainers into his cabinet and several favours enjoyed under his administration.

He revealed that the week promises to be fun, with the major highlight being the recognition awards to individuals and brands for their contributions to the development of the entertainment industry in the state.
