A suspected drug dealer has been apprehended by Jigawa Police Command, and 265 wraps of a material thought to be marijuana have been found.

The suspect was detained on his route to criminal hideouts and "black spots," according to DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the command's spokesperson, who made this announcement in a statement on Tuesday, July 19.

According to him, a prominent drug dealer was stopped in Auyo town by a Police Squad linked to Auyo Division lead by Inspector Rayyanu Ashahabu at around 2030 hours on July 18, 2022.

"During the raid, twelve (12) Rizlar papers, one scissor, eighty nine (89) pieces of inebriated D5_ Diazepam pills, sixty two (62), BZ drugs, and two hundred and sixty five (265) rubs of dried leaves thought to be Indian Hemp were discovered from him as exhibits.

"During the course of the inquiry, the suspect confessed that he got the drugs from one Sule Mai Kunne "m" of Adaha Village Auyo LGA, who is currently on the run.

"The pursuit of his collaborators is in high gear. After the inquiry is complete, the suspect will be charged in court.

In all 27 of the State's LGAs, strict patrols and raids on criminal hideouts and hotspots will continue. PPRO was added.
