Tiwa Savage, an Afrobeats artist and songwriter who keeps putting the nation on the map of the world favorably, has been awarded an honorary degree.

Remember how "Viralgistblog" revealed a few days ago that Tiwa Savage and many other candidates had been shortlisted to get the prestigious degree from the University of Kent, Tiwa's alma mater.

Among the honorary graduates from Kent in July 2022 were Tiwa Savage and Abdulrazak Gurnah, the 2021 Nobel Laureate for Literature.

The musician was listed as one of the inspirational people who will get the degree by the University of Kent in a formal statement.

Tiwa Savage graduated from the university with a degree in business administration before being awarded a scholarship to pursue professional music at Boston's Berklee College of Music.
